Privacy Policy — Patida
Patida ("the app") is developed by Dreamtime, an independent developer. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and how it's handled.
Information We Collect
- Device identifier: On first launch, the app generates/uses a unique device ID to log you in to our backend service (PlayFab, operated by Microsoft) via "Login with Custom ID." This does not include your name, phone number, or any personally identifying hardware info beyond an anonymous ID.
- Gameplay data: Puzzle scores, solutions found, and progress are stored on our backend so your progress and leaderboard standing can be tracked.
- Optional display name: If you choose to appear on the global leaderboard, you may set a display name. This name and your score are publicly visible to other players. You are not required to set a display name or appear on leaderboards to play the game.
- Settings: Game settings (e.g., audio, notification preferences) are stored locally on your device only and are not transmitted to us.
What We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect: your real name, email address, phone number, physical location, photos/camera data, microphone/audio recordings, or contacts. Patida does not require account creation or sign-in with any third-party identity provider.
Why We Collect This Data
Device ID and gameplay data are used solely for core app functionality: saving your progress, computing scores, and powering global leaderboards. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising at this time.
Third-Party Service Provider
We use PlayFab, a backend service operated by Microsoft Azure, to store and process the data described above. PlayFab acts as our data processor. You can review Microsoft's privacy practices at privacy.microsoft.com.
Public Leaderboards
If you set a display name and submit a score, that display name and score are visible to all players in the leaderboard. Do not use your real name or any personally identifying information as your display name.
Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is retained as long as your device ID remains active in our backend, so your progress and leaderboard standing persist across sessions. If you would like your data deleted, contact us at support@dreamti.me with your in-game display name (if set) and approximate date of play, and we will submit a deletion request to PlayFab on your behalf.
Children's Privacy
Patida is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us at the email below and we will remove it.
Security
Data is transmitted between the app and our backend using encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
Advertising
Patida does not currently show ads. If advertising is introduced in a future update, this policy will be updated before that release to describe the ad provider, the data involved, and your choices.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Changes will be posted here with an updated effective date.
